In the Baltic Drummers League competition organized by Saulkrasti Jazz Festival 2015, the main prize, participation in master classes and performance at the closing concert of the Miami Beach Jazz Festival, was won by Latvian drummer Mareks Logins. He went to Florida with the group Sincope. During Saulkrasti Jazz Festival 2016 the band will perform the same program that they performed at the Miami Beach Jazz Festival and won wide audience acclaim.

Mareks Logins (drums) – graduated from Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music High School and is currently successfully studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium). He has participated in numerous jazz and pop music projects in Latvia and abroad, but gets the most satisfaction playing with the music group “Sinkope”. Mareks is the winner of several drummers’ competitions – Yamaha Drum Day 2009 (Bulgaria / Sofia), Yamaha Drum Day 2013 (Latvia / Riga), IV Baltic Drummer’s League 2015 (Latvia / Saulkrasti) and Yamaha Drum Day 2016 (Lithuania, Vilnius).

Āris Ozols (guitar) – creative guitarist and composer, graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music. He is currently playing as a member of the Latvian Radio Big Band. Āris has successfully participated in several competitions in Latvia, Lithuania and Germany. In 2013, as part of the Erasmus student exchange program, Aris had the opportunity to improve his knowledge in Rome.

Pēteris Liepiņš (bass) – is the oldest and thus also the most experienced participant in the trio. Pēteris is one of the most sought after bass virtuoso in Latvia. Participated in several TV shows and music projects. He has performed in Finland, Switzerland, Germany, England, Lithuania, Estonia, USA. Along with making music, Pēteris teaches bass at Riga Secondary School No. 45 and Jāzeps Mediņš Music School.
