Gabor Dornyei can currently be considered one of the most successful young drummers. Gabor formed his first group more than 15 years ago, and despite the fact that the line-up has changed, the sextet still performs all over the world. The artists have performed at both the Ronnie Scott Jazz Club and the 606 Club, and have participated in festivals ranging from the Glastonbury Festival to various festivals across Europe. The second DVD, made with the Thunder Duo, was named No. 1 in the world by Hudson Music (New York). The recording in a duet with the famous percussionist Pette Lockett (Great Britain) was also a great success internationally. The sextet’s performance is mainly dominated by contemporary jazz and fusion music, which is intertwined with strong elements of Latin and world music.
